I have experienced the same phenomenon. I'm hyperlexic. In 2019, I read over 450 novels and non fiction books. In 2020, I read 400. In 2021, when I caught Covid, I only read 236, and that was a struggle. I felt like I had a concussion. Since then, I've averaged ~125. I really struggle to focus.
