I have stage 4 cancer

Joe Rogan recently mocked my physical appearance to millions, calling me a β€œweird kind of bitchy weak man”

I’m ripping out the IV and clapping back at this troll in this video: youtu.be/V0tMcWeOuFY?...

When Britain used supernatural policemen to hunt down its criminals Curse tablets, from a now vanished temple near Uley, are revealing how Romano-Britons dealt with criminals

There's a new book, by Prof. Roger Tomlin, about the #Roman 'curse tablets' discovered at the major Romano-British shrine complex (seemingly to a hybrid Mercury/local god) at Uley, Gloucestershire!

Folks in this thread pointing out that low pay for high experience jobs makes them 'hobby jobs' - things for rich folks to do. When we make the cultural infrastructure of our country a hobby for the rich, we end up with a culture that valorises wealth. It is a political choice, and a dangerous one

The Menhir di Monte Corru Tundu is six metres in height and located near Oristano in Sardinia. It’s around 5,000 years old and is made of trachytic tuff. There are three circular depressions carved into it.

The Necropolis of Banditaccia is an incredible Etruscan site! There are over 1,000 tombs, a small section of which is open to the public. Dating from the 9th century BCE, the necropolis was built by the inhabitants of Caisra (modern Cerveteri)

Two biscuits stacked on top of one another, designed to look like a rotating diagram from an early modern astronomical book. The lower biscuit is circular and features a series of horizontal lines and tiny numbers in an early modern font. The top biscuit is roughly in the shape of boat: the 'mast' area reads 'zenith'; the main body of the shape features tiny figures in historical dress holding astronomical instruments and a Latin motto reading 'Nulla dies sine linea'.

Centuries ago, many astronomical books included moving parts to help readers interpret the world around them.

This biscuit recreates a diagram from Sacrobosco’s β€˜De Sphaera’ (c.1550). It could be used to calculate the changing length of daylight hours through the year. πŸͺ
