Voters do not spend their days debating geopolitical doctrine or the finer points of congressional messaging strategy.

They spend their mornings buying coffee.

They spent time at the market buying groceries.

They spend their afternoons filling their tanks.

Arkansas: Not exactly a bastion of Democratic optimism. But in a closely watched special election, Democrat Jody Holladay managed to flip a district that has historically leaned Republican, winning by double digits.

That was not an isolated fluke.

No one in the incompetent Trump Cabinet thought to ask the painfully obvious question before going to war with Iran : What happens to the American consumer if energy markets panic?

Because that is exactly what has happened.

Iran war cause gas to go up but is not the only problem. It is simply the most visible one. Food prices were already hovering near record highs. Walk into any supermarket and the humble carton of milk is behaving like a luxury commodity. Bread costs more. Meat costs more. Produce costs more....
