I was hesitant to say this cuz I was worried it would come off mean spirited, but im so happy there's now a rubber sheep vrc avatar that isn't a drone

interesting ideas to be inspired by and expand upon, but it seems that authors just thought "Desert planet cool and computers bad" were the most interesting things to take from it.

Those, to me, being how thoroughly thought out the ecology of Arrakis is, and how that ecology shapes the culture of the Fremen. As well as the whole thing with Paul and the dangers of a charismatic hero figure taking over an entire culture, regardless of their intentions. Dune has so many-

After reading Dune and considering when it came out, everything the sci fi genre got from Dune sums up to surface level aesthetics and ideas.

Theres only like...a couple of stories I've seen which take inspiration from the most impressive parts of the story.

I've gotten much more comfortable with it after finishing this overlord.
Once i can get back to it I'm gonna finish up all my warriors! I just have to let myself be ok with them not being up to this standard

I've yet to get into that "zone" with troop painting because I would always get really indecisive.
I think i will be a bit smarter the next time I paint up a bunch of troops though.

It also doesn't help that my necron scheme is white, black and orange.

I'll be honest when I was first painting my army before I got burnt out on painting, it was quite the opposite, because I really enjoyed painting individual models to be super nice. I also didn't have a solid plan for the models so everything was kinda mismatched.

I need to take my art posting more seriously. This isn't an art site so it shouldn't be the primary place to look through my gallery.
Im going to take the time to upload my work to FA soon.
