A person yelling alone into the void can't change global politics, but a person can build a community, a community can flip a town, a town can flip a district, and a district can flip a state.

It's not the first time evil people have won, it won't be the last. It doesn't erase the good in between.

The communities we participate in, the local initiatives we engage with, the hobbies we enjoy. The joy we bring to ourselves and others are what make resistance feel worth it and stronger communities are more inclined to stick together and look after one another when the going gets hard.

It's easy to get buried in the sheer amount of Bad Shit™ going on on the macro level right now, but none of these people are immune to the laws of mortality. Making things better starts with living a life worth fighting for and that starts with focusing on the things we as individuals *can* control.

I've had a horse in this race a long time and having spent years witnessing & experiencing firsthand the damage anti-NSFW policies cause, having been the canary in the coalmine, it sucks to see the things we predicted coming to pass. I can only hope now people are willing to fight where it matters.

Mastercard: Sex Work is Work. End Your Unjust Policy. Mastercard's new policy unfairly targets the adult content industry, making sex workers more vulnerable, especially Black trans women. It must be stopped.

This itch.io NSFW policy change is unfortunately nothing new, the problem isn't the platforms themselves but rather Visa/MC strong-arming these services into revising their NSFW policies.

So long as money needs to change hands and cash is not an option, payment processors will always be the end all be all of policy decisions. You want platforms to treat NSFW and queer creators better? Attack the policies at the source.

As an ABDL artist having spent the last decade on the front lines of kink-policing and financial persecution I can speak with experience when I say punishing platforms for "bowing down" to demands of payment processors accomplishes nothing.

If you want to fight, go after the ones throwing punches.
