PBS, NPR rescission vote passes Senate, heads back to U.S. House The rescissions bill will cancel $1.1 billion in previously approved spending for national and local public broadcasters, as well as $8 billion in foreign aid, including global health initiatives.

The rescissions bill will claw back $1.1B in previously approved spending for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which contributes funding to NPR, PBS & hundreds of local stations throughout the country. The money was slated to cover the fiscal year set to begin Oct. 1 and the following year.

I liked it but definitely did not love it. I think about 1/3 could've been cut and was happy to be done with it when I finished 😅 I'm here for a film adaptation, though!
