General Strike Los Angeles

LAPD and policing have been pretty hot topics at the Charter Reform Commission and it's finally back on the agenda this Thursday (4 pm).

The ad hoc committee tossed out the reform proposals, but there seems to be space on the agenda to bring some ideas back.

TUESDAY (3/3) @ 3 PM, City Hall, Room 1010: More changes to LA's Charter are up for a vote on:
- how LA's budget happens;
- the future of City Charter reform; &
- Neighborhood Council reform recommendations by LANCC & BONC.

This is one of them. We were never fans of Trump, but he did say “no new wars” (we didn’t believe him, but obviously someone did) and clearly, it’s always been about war, power & dominance.

This is the court decision with regards to releasing 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos, and his dad, Adrian Conejo Arias, be released from ICE detention

Intrigued of it all, vs what is actually good for people, and what do the people want. Hence why it’s up to We The People to bring them back down to earth, including the ones we may like.

Not speaking as GSLA, but as an individual, I think it’s because often when you become a politician you loose a bit of your grounded-ness; that’s assuming you actually cared about people to begin with. But you are in your office all day, politicking all day, that it becomes more about the palace 👇

This is the police chief for Los Angeles, Jim McDonnell.

He is openly saying that he will not enforce CA state law.
