Got in a mint 1970 copy of Helene Hanff's "84 Charing Cross Road & Duchess of Bloomsbury Street". #84CCR is a favorite film (not least b/c it was my first experience with The Dench) & loved visiting the blue plaque back in 2019, even if it is rather ignominiously on the wall of a McD's.

There's an alarm going off at the empty apartment across the hall. It's been over an hour. It's really fucking annoying. As is the insanely slow response of the management of the apartment I cannot wait to move out of in May.
