Speak with the Dead

People complain that D&D magic can be dull, but do you add your own flavor to the spells?

Below is a description of a Speak with the Dead spell cast in a Bhakashal setting game of mine.

Don’t just tell the results, describe the ghastly details, you are speaking to the dead after all…

This is a topic I could contemplate for a lifetime and likely never come to a clear answer though.

That’s understandable. I told him it’s a difficult question to answer because happiness is subjective but that in my opinion it’s unlikely a person can be bad and happy. Kindness is a fundamental element of happiness.

This is a powerful tool if done well.

Do you ever intentionally cut the music in your sessions?
If you want to get the most out of using music at the table, you should.

She’s a topic of frequent conversation in our house. One thing my kids get frustrated with is when a parent doesn’t listen, but Johanna listens to Hilda even when it puts her in conflict with other adults.

I also think we live in an age of controversy, where people are primed to find “controversy” any and every where.
