earlier this year, i started just writing pieces that i wanted to write & that i’d want to read and posted them to substack. it’s been really good for me creatively, and getting to use my musicology tools is always a plus.

it was, she’s such an incredible performer, so funny and sounded amazing! the stage set was also incredible, i spent a lot of the time noticing all the little details and trying to figure out how it all worked. her mind is something else.

love this poster! i did my masters diss on differences between pop fandoms/fangirls and scenes and for part of it i looked at the harry fandom (and swifties of course) so cool to see others’ research in this area! & i would love to read your fangirl as a term paper when it’s finished!

i haven't been this excited about a new social media platform in a long time. it's so cool to connect with academics and journalists who are working in the same fields i'm interested in. i'm so looking forward to connecting with you all and learning more about your work!

i'm currently working as a barista while i decide my next move, hoping to get into music journalism professionally, but in the meantime i have a substack!
