Sonic kisses shadow's head and eyes, while sitting in a vulnerable position in a field. The stars can be seen around them, as shadow asks why sonic is kissing his eyes. In the next panel, Sonic explains they're his favorite part of shadow, because they were the first thing he noticed. Shadow wonders how he can be so generic, not taking interest in his chest or spines. Sonic admits he likes those features too, but he noticed his eyes and speed first.
In the first panel, Sonic begins to yap on as shadow silently listens, explaining "Plenty of monsters in kid's stories have sharp and pointy eyes like Doom's. All red 'n glowy. For a while, Egg's glowin' robo-eyes made for some spooky stories when I was a kid, heheh. But yours are all natural." Shadow looks off, wondering to himself if Doom's influence on his body can be called natural. Sonic continues in the next panel, "I always thought glowin' red eyes were s'pposed to be scary, but yours werent. They never looked evil. Not like those mindless hunks of metal. Myabe that's why I held back?" The notion of Sonic holding back catches Shadow's attention... His ears turn to face him, listening more closley now. How could he possibly have held back? Sonic finishes off the third panel with, "You never looked like you wanted to kill me, you just looked angry and lost--like when a kid throws a fit or somethin'." Causing Shadow's brow to raise a bit. His ears to perked up and he begins blushing as sonic continues, "You just looked like you needed to hug someone, but that 'someone' wasnt there anymore..." In the last panel, sonic quickly stops himself, embarrassed by how long he's talking. "Geez, sorry for yappin!" he bonks his forehead on shadow, "Im sure my hugs arent the same, but I promise ta alwasy hug back, okay?" Shadow stares blankly, turning red as he recalls sonic's initial acceptence to go on dates, where he shrugs it off saying "we can go on dates 'n all, but, Hope you're not expecting romance... I'm not really a lovey dovey, cuddle under the stars and whisper you sweet nothings kinda guy, okay? Just gonna be Sonic." "lies" Shadow thinks, as they are literaly sitting in a feild, being cuddly and kissy under the stars... He doesnt understand what Sonic continues romance.

Classic style shadow running, being followed by classic Sonic. He tells sonic to stop following him, but Sonic is mute and continues to follow. Shadow lets out a whine for Maria.
Maria, in a sailor moon style, "Oh, did you make a new friend? You should invit him for dinner", shadow seems unsure and raises a fist as Sonic waves to maria. Text says: AU where Shadow is created on Mobius. Gerald is in hiding with shadow being passed off as an orphan, pretending he's a result of the ongoing war between acorn kingdom and Dr Eggman. Gerald's hidden lab was found hidden under the castle, along with other secrets.
Sonic eats very close to Shadow, who notices that Sonic is already finished his plate. maria: I think it's good for shadow to be around others like himself" she says, reassuring her nervous grandfather. Gerald replies, "I suppose if he is to 'fit in', he should be around mobians, rather than just us humans..." The next panels show sonic looking discontent that he's out of food. Shadow watches him, noticing it. They meet eyes and Shadow gets nervous as sonic smiles to him. Shadow puts his fork down and moves him plate over, confusing maria and gerald, who watch. They're suprised when shadow decides to feed sonic. He blushes as sonic takes a bite. We can assume shadow doesnt share...
maria, teasing shadow: "Aw you two looked so cute, wow, you even gave him your food, aw, shadow is that your boy--" Shadow, interrupting her, embarrassed and annoyed, "I'm never inviting anyone over again!!" Gerlad robotnik jumps in, telling her to stop teasing shadow. Maria thinks back at Sonic showing her a little drawing of sonic hugging shadow and making him smile. Maria thinks sonic has a crush, and tears up, "his first love" she thinks. Back to current time, she gives shadow a hug, apologzing and telling him "I'm only kidding, I'll always support you little guy, thats what big sisters are for" Shadow blushes, asking, "really?"

Doom's blood stabilized shadows. With that in mind, In my HC he grew in spurts, each stage gradually slowing down. You think he had a cacoon like the Blackarms fruit things in the game??
