been following the teasers for the talamasca show and they've been real headscratchers. "We watch the vampires." well so do I. "we watch the witches." ok cool. "We watch-" ok I get it you do a lot of watching. So do I. Are people on the show going to be DOING anything?

Lots been happening. Lost one job, got a new one, doing narrative design courses, traveling, socializing, grieving a grandma who died over Christmas, panicking about the world, obsessing over Armand de Loser...

And somehow in all this I got addicted to Disney Dreamlight Valley

I just finished watching Interview with the Vampire (the show) and omg it is one of the most beautiful and tragic pieces of media i have ever had the pleasure of experiencing and now im irl depressed over these gay vanpires

Yesterday saw the launch of my newest column, The Dark Seance, in which I will be discussing how the various approaches of gimmick films work to break down the fourth wall and how this tradition links to the midnight spook shows of the '40s and '50s.

I saw someone say "If a person is making someone uncomfortable, are they not harming that person?"

And I have to say that as a queer, black, autistic individual who makes people uncomfortable /by just standing there/....please reevaluate that.

This is also part of why the PhD is being devalued as a degree. More women than men get PhDs now.

the double edged sword of everyone being incredibly stupid all the time which brings me laughter but the problem is these people run the entire world

Gonna add some other shitty "constructive critiques" I've gotten before:

- people telling me writing faeries who are allergic to iron is stupid

- people telling me I shouldn't call it rape if the hero is the victim

- people telling me my heroine can't be Black because she's a vampire

And this is just my personal reason why I find it so offensive, but also because, usually, the people giving the critique DON’T KNOW WHAT THE FVKK THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT.

Do you know how many weeks of complaints I got about "inaccurate PTSD rep" when basing my portrayal ON MY OWN FVKKING PTSD???
