Found under a rock in central Barbados by @rewild’s Justin Springer + Connor Blades of the Barbados Ministry of Environment, this tiny snake is rare, cryptic, and now — finally — back in the spotlight.

🗣️ “I smell a threadsnake,” Springer joked... then found one. 👀

🐍 The world’s smallest snake — just 3–4 inches long — has been rediscovered in Barbados after being lost to science for nearly 20 years! 📏🇧🇧

It’s called the Barbados Threadsnake, and it had only been seen a handful of times before.
