I have issues w Walker's investigations - he draws a lot of long bows without actual evidence. He's constantly stating that Atlas has done a,b,c but has nothing to back it.
I've been doing opposition research on these think tanks for decades and I'm well aware of the need for actual evidence.

Def his Dad, but TPU wasn’t Atlas from the outset.
The reason the NZ media can completely ignore Atlas is because of all these long bows & conspiracy theories.
There’s little to no evidence of anyone at Atlas involved in NZ politics & policies, despite all the claims.
It’s an enabler not a player

Climate minister admits new target may breach global 1.5C goal Climate Minister Simon Watts admitted the Government's new methane target may not be consistent with limiting global warming to 1.5C.

The NZ Govt has admitted that new methane targets do not align with goals to keep global warming below 1.5C - a limit set in place to prevent catastrophic climate change. The move breaches both international law and free trade agreements with the EU and the UK.

It does breach 1.5
Just b/c the top of the range is at 1.5 compatibility doesn't mean the rest of the target is. And given the complete absence of policies to drive methane emissions down, it seems highly unlikely they will make that number

My new poetry collection "Dracula in the Colonies" was launched earlier this month at Unity Books Wellington. Here's a clip of me reading the title poem:

I'm suspicious, though, of the plastic which, when heated, can leach BPAs & other forever chemicals into food. Teflon has also been proven to leak into food from so-called "non-stick" pans, etc
The whole hot plastic around food thing makes me v wary

Plume even sided with the Russians in Durban 2012 when there was a (successful) push to get Russian hot air out of the international carbon trading system, b/c it might affect our own hot air from our pre-Kyoto forests. I remember people coming up to me saying what is your country DOING??

Factcheck:
The Stratford decision was the direct result of a Greenpeace court case, πŸ’― not Upton’s initiative. But he claims it was his idea? Nope.
Next: Plume was responsible for negotiating the many land sector loopholes that has allowed NZ to plant trees instead of cutting actual emissions.

It’s ironic that this happens the day after the Luxon Govt announced it will make the climate crisis worse by letting the dairy industry off the hook for its superheating methane emissions.

Outgoing Buller mayor cries as he talks about risks facing town Jamie Cleine was in tears as he spoke about increasingly damaging floods.

This is the same guy who endlessly parrots the coal mining industry's talking points - yet here he is crying about climate change wrecking Westport.

Cartoon. Title: Government almost halves methane reduction targets...

We see the Scream, from Edvard Munch's most famous works of art, collapsed in a wingback armchair.

He had stepped out of the painting to take a break from the chaos. The metaphor of the artwork is of natures pain and how he had actually felt it.

But sadly he's entered into a world that is chaotic and deliberately trying to hurt Mother Earth even more.

He has a newspaper slowly sliding out from his hand with the title - Farmers Rejoice.

My cartoon in today's www.thepress.co.nz/nz-news/3608...

The Scream is a metaphor for nature & Munch was the receptor for its pain. Here he is, so overwhelmed he's taking time out of the painting only to find more pain in the news...
