Luckily, we don't get mosquitoes, but the way the weather is changing, they will come !

I have one, but where I live now it has high fences and concrete bases. At my old house I used to get hedgehogs most nights. Now, nothing comes in except a rat who tunnelled under the concrete. It never stayed long as there is nothing to eat. I have one or two bats that fly round

I think we had a Badger here last week. I've definitely seen one nearby. It was behind my back fence, probably after blackberries. Nothing exotic left in the UK !

No. About the only thing in Scotland are wild cats. There are possibly some large cats about, lynx etc, but nothing is ever really proven.

I guess so. Bears were, and of course fossils have been found in the UK of all sorts of animals no longer here. When the UK was physically part of what is now Europe.

They wanted to introduce them into Scotland, but it hasn't happened

I used to watch a US series called Mountain Men. They used dogs to chase off Mountain Lions from getting too near people and livestock - rather than just killing them.
