Theres a kind of lefty in this country in the hundreds of thousands whos aware of the socialist movement but thinks themselves above all of it and cynically postures that theyre waiting for someone else to build something thats serious enough for them. You gotta get over your ego now

Based on what I’m seeing at work and with colleagues, it sure seems like USian society really fucked up in creating a culture where people will put in Herculean amounts of effort to avoid admitting someone else knows more than them about any topic.

If your problem is with communists, MLs, maoists, and you dont want them invited to chapters, dont want their ideas discussed, you can say that and I will disagree with that, but also its too late! People are being convinced and instead of understanding why youre trying to call the manager

But brg isnt a nazi! Hes not a khmer rouge supporter or a Bosnian genocide denier or any of those things! Youre freely associating those because it makes the position seem obvious but you cant go further than saying people are advocating for authoritarian regimes

So what are the ideologies and events that should never be discussed in any DSA meeting? List them out

I think the issue is youre bad at articulating yourself munin and hide behind negative statements and badjacketing

You keep doing this thing where youre trying to sarcastically portray positions you disagree with instead of saying what you think should happen.

Youre getting lost in the sauce and dont seem to have much beyond beef with a streamer.

So you want to be anti authoritarian by prescribing and censoring positions, and you do so by associating people youre opposed to with politics they havent advocated?

I actually think its key to the democracy of DSA that any member can build a faction to fight for what they believe in, and think that this is what led DSA to be the largest substantively democratic organization in the US right now.

Trying to get a sense of what your issue is here. Tbc, I dont agree with brg on a lot of stuff and often dont like the way he engages online--something thats true of a lot of dsa members and lefties--but hes also been a streamer for quite a while and hes free to visit or speak to chapters

Remember being in like a Serious DSA factions meeting and people talking about cucking another faction and having that exact thought

The democratic centralism ban was removed last summer after being used once. People are free to try to start a caucus based around support for israel--good luck
