Weβre pleased to confirm the pedestrian crossing on Tulse Hill has been repaired today, after being out of action for nearly a month.
We pushed TfL to reinstate it, and worked with Lambeth Council to remove tree coverage from a private property that TfL had flagged as a safety concern

Today we held a roving surgery on Tulse Hill Estate.
It was good to meet residents on their doorsteps, listen to issues from housing and repairs to safety and local services, and talk about how we can help.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to speak with us.

Over the past week we have been out and about on the Roupell Park Estate and the Tulse Hill Estate.
Itβs always great to meet residents where they live, hear about local issues and discuss how we can work together to make improvements.

Almost 1,400 new street trees, 207 trees on council estates, 350 new trees in parks and open spaces have been added to the borough this winter
Weβre making Brixton Rush Common Ward greener/more vibrant. 2000+ new trees planted across Lambeth this winter planting season - lots in our area. Help them thrive in hot weather: reuse water from baths or washing up and give your nearest tree a drink π³

Congratulations to Cllr Adrian Garden on being elected Mayor of Lambeth for the year ahead! A tireless champion for Brixton Rush Common Ward and our communities, he brings warmth, wit and dedication to everything he does. Wishing him a brilliant year representing our borough

We know residents near Holmewood Road/Gardens raised strong (and differing) views on the junction with Brixton Hill. At our request, TfL revisited the feedback - and confirmed the no-entry from Brixton Hill into Holmewood Rd will remain as part of the final scheme (see attached)

A23 Streatham Hill
Our scheme for Streatham Hill will make it easier and safer for people to walk and cycle in the area
TfL has confirmed a major upgrade to the A23 corridor between Brixton Hill & Streatham Hill - with new pedestrian crossings, segregated cycle lanes & wider pavements. Work begins this summer & will last until 2027, travel disruption is expected. More info: tfl.gov.uk/travel-infor...

The issue with dockless e-bikes parked on pavements was highlighted to MPs this week amid calls for tougher regulation.
In Lambeth, weβve introduced dockless bike/e-scooter bays as dedicated spaces to park. Thereβs usually one only a few minutes walk from where most people live (16 in our area) which can help keep them out of the way whilst keeping them convenient to use

Anti-social behaviour in Lambeth
Use this guide to find information and advice on how to deal with anti-social behaviour.
A permanent intervention across a broader area is needed - tackling any criminal acts and supporting those who are vulnerable or need help. This will not work if it just displaces the problem to neighbouring areas such as St Matthewβs Estate or Rush Common www.lambeth.gov.uk/community-sa...

Drug dealing/taking & anti-social behaviour has been a problem in St Matthewβs Church Garden and Windrush Square for some time. We support the police doing more to address it. However, dispersal orders are only a temporary tool that comes with challenges about how they are applied and monitored
