Adventures at Miracle Mile

Spring sprung. Spiked, at the South Coast Botanical Garden.

(A close friend, offering me safe shelter for a long weekend, put it on thinking, "It's an animated film, it'll be easy to digest/non-triggering." Wrooooooong.)

It was beautiful... and *not* the right film for me to watch less than two weeks after directly witnessing/surviving climate catastrophe in my hometown of Altadena. I was crying each new time the kitty escaped yet another, cycling threat.

Found some old papers recently... from like, when I was 10 years old! The day's prompt appears to have been: "What would you do if you were principal for a day?" I had strong feelings, concrete ideas & I wasn't afraid to share them. I may wanna quote this on future job interviews. 😁 [See comments]

Met this Bear while protesting to save the wildlands of Chaney Trail last autumn. The trail was incinerated last month. But its chaparral will grow again. And the Bear, like its native wildland, is standing strong. Thank you, dear friend Bear. #DenaStrong
