Look into the beautiful brown eyes of this beautiful young black bear. A shaft of sunlight splashes across the head and shoulders, accenting the eyes, nose, and glossy black fur. One paw is slightly raised for the next step. The bear walks along a grassy path, surrounded by dandelions, jewelweed, and other short green plants in this late summer photograph. On a side note, this is definitely one of the bears with whom I would rather take my chances.

There were Evil Speeches of Evil, declarations of love, and proclamations of vengeance. Well-used verbs include conniving, plotting, supporting, sneaking, ransacking, burning, stealing, and running. And everyone had a great time exploring the many floors of the 3D printed castle. Fantastic.

A gorgeous 3D printed castle stands on a decorated table. The castle spires tower over the surroundings. The castle base is molded rock, which conceals basement levels. Tall, shapely windows can be seen in the castle’s higher levels. Red roses surround the castle. The table is spread with bread, cheese, vegetables, fruits, cheese, and chocolate.

I can’t say enough good things about my players. Dinner with Strahd last week was outstanding. I brought sparkly drinks and snacks. Everyone was in costume and brought their A game. It was intense, memorable, emotional, and no one touched a die all night.

Three giant tracks appear isolated in the shadow-strewn snow. The wind-swept snow holds three deep impressions, each roughly a yard long, with roughly a yard between them. The shadows of trees throw sharp bars across the snow, falling in and around the tracks. The untouched snow is lightly textured by wind.

Collaboration helps me stretch my spoons. Some tasks cost me more spoons than they would cost my partner, and vice-versa. By listening to each other and splitting tasks by effort/interest, each of us feels like we are getting away with something _and_ the work gets done. Fantastic.

A blazing bonfire is eerily reflected in the puddle over which it was built. Pale yellow flames dance and blaze upward from the burning logs, sending small showers of orange sparks swirling through the night. Those same flames thrust downward in reflection, their roots gleaming amid the undersides of their logs. The orange flame-tips rise in a fiery crown that will disappear in an instant. A snow-bedecked, ice-backed waterfall foams in the winter morning light. This substantial artificial waterfall splashes over a wall of cut black stone. Ice has accumulated against the fall, creating ghostly streaks of white behind the twisting water. On either side of the fall, short rock cliffs slope and curve, surrounding the quiet, black waters of the pool at the bottom of the fall. A single flat rock, covered in snow, stands out in the pool. To either side of the pool, jutting spurs of rock thrust into the photo, covered in snow and coated in thick icicles. Along the left-hand spur, a secondary waterfall splashes against the sharp rocks. In the foreground, rocks stand out from the stream that bubbles downstream of the waterfall's pool, crossing the stream from side to side. The snow- and ice-covered rocks are treacherous now, but might make a reasonable fording in good weather. This fast-shutter photograph captures the water in the act of splashing, twisting, and foaming, rather than the slight blur effect coveted by some waterfall photographers.

Geometry in nature flourishes in this winter photograph of a newly-frozen pond. Wings and spears of ice stretch across the water at all angles, colliding and resolving in straight lines. Each fragment is strongly textured in ripples and lines. Each icy tooth, streak, spear, or wing, where it meets another, resolves in deeply indented lines. The dark water beneath the ice creates a background of black. Reflections from evergreens and sky send tints of pale, metallic greens and greys, with hints of brown, shining across the ice. At the center of the image, a large frost crystal rests delicately on the ice, looking for all the world like a white-clad dancer reclining on a mirror. Smaller frost crystals accent the ice here and there.
