A thing that annoys me about the Axios newsletter is that the tone is consistently “I am one of the top experts on this thing I learned about five minutes ago.” Also that they have 280 sources in the White House but their only source on the left is Rep. Capitulate Middle (D).

Theoretically, they could win the RFP if the WRA fails to attract any bids, at which point I'll be forced to let them cook and then serve me my own shoe.

You and me both. There were frequent mentions of finding a new operator during WRA meetings, and no mention of Luciano's possibly staying. But Angelini walked that back today, saying they would at least consider a bid from them.

This article has been updated to include details from the owner, who insists they are not closing. The WRA seems to think otherwise, saying multiple times they are looking for a new operator, but I've reached out for clarification if WRA would consider a bid from Luciano's.

Good question! They certainly have been vacant for a while. I'll try to look into that.

NEW: The WRA has given Maxwell Luciano's an offer it couldn't refuse, and the gangster-themed restaurant and banquet space will be exiting Union Station in June. The hunt is on for a replacement.
