A post from Museum of Worcester featuring a photo of a man with a beard and text which reads: "The answer to our question about the connection between “Jackie Chan Adventures” and Worcester is John Rogers. A Worcester native, Rogers has been active as a screenwriter for television and films, as well as a director and executive producer. His career started in the 1990s when he began writing scripts for television. He developed and wrote “Jackie Chan Adventures,” which ran from 2000 to 2005. Rogers has also written several movie screenplays, including those for “Transformers” and “Catwoman.” “Catwoman” won the 2004 Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Screenplay."

There's a tangential Worcester connection here: Silver Lake Partners owns Diamond Baseball Holdings, the majority owner of the WooSox (and 44 or so other MiLB teams).

Witness in 2006 Miami murder case found alive It's unclear how the revelation about witness Paul Conner will affect the murder trial of Rashaun Jones, currently set to start Oct. 6.

"However, with the trial of Rashaun Jones only weeks from its scheduled start in Miami, ESPN reporters knocked on an apartment door in Louisville recently and found the witness, Paul Conner, alive."

Funny enough, I thought actual journalism was dead at ESPN, but I just found out it's still alive.

I regularly see large real estate investment firms citing the lack of new apartment construction in the area as a reason they're buying existing multi-family complexes. Which is probably a reason why we shouldn't be expecting the same firms to help Mass. build our way out of this problem.

The settlement has been in the works for months but happened to go into effect a day after a court ruling which put the CCC's formerly-fired chair back into her role.
