Made it to the next town over, where I intended to go yesterday before the engine broke down. This is enough for today. Other folks are staying put because it’s too windy 💨

Just me daring to do stuff like this again is already a win. A year ago I was too scared to drive my car because I couldn’t focus on the road at all, the noise of my (note) electric car was too much to bear and basically I was too tired to care whether I would hit something or not. Cycled instead

Long story: I have 27 years experience teaching sailing on smaller open boats, so theoretically I should be fine. But I’m also still recovering from a burnout and last night I was too tired to figure out I had to rotate the power plug 90 degrees to plug it in 🤦‍♀️

Maybe I should start calling this “adventures of the seadragon”.

Short story: bought a cabin sailboat and am trying to sail it to my home port single handed.
