If you don't LEARN from your experience or mistakes, you can't grow. You will be stagnant indefinitely. No one is ever born with knowledge. It requires the desire to seek it and having the lived experiences to give it meaning and value.

I got f*cked, hard, by everyone... the realtor, the Home inspector who pencil whipped the inspection, and the sellers who to this day haven't upheld the contract by doing what the offer agreement outlined.

I learned all the intricacies of mortgages and home ownership when I bought a house last fall. When I moved in I learned the hard lesson that everyone involved in the deal wants a piece of the pie, and will fu*k you over to get it, because.....

I learned anatomy and physiology in EMT and Paramedic school. I learned the art patient care in the back of an ambulance.

I learned cooking and recipies in both grandmothers kitchens. I learned about the artistry of cuisine by working in restaurants and the science by watching a LOT of Alton Brown... then applying that in my own kitchen, repeatedly, until I perfected my craft.

It took time, but I perfected the process. I am nothing, if not meticulous, with finances. Also, I genuinely hate "struggle meals" now, it was a long road.

Here's the deal... LIFE taught me everything school didn't. I learned how to balance my checking account in HomeEc. I learned how to manage personal finances by paying all my BILLS first, and eating ramen (and other struggle meals) if there wasn't much left over.

SR22 Non-Owner Policy.

An SR22 is usually reserved for people who have had DUI. It's a fully paid in advance "secured" policy. But this particular policy will cover your driving for any vehicle loaned to you. And they're fairly cheap.

I find comfort (and simultaneous concern - lol) that Jax joins DJ Bam, co-founder and Consigliere, in whatever afterlife there may be, watching over us and maybe sometimes whispering a subtle inspiration to continue honing our crafts and expanding our creativity.

As House Mother, she was always a sage source of wisdom and guidance for so many wayward strays in the local queer community, lending an ear, providing frank honest opinions with the softest touch, and comforting those without immediate accepting families.

It is with deepest sorrow that I convey the passing of Jax Shaw, House Mother of our Boondock Mafia Drag Family.

Jax never missed a show. She was also largely responsible for the photo chronicle of our history and evolution.
