X is a cesspit led by an unhinged billionaire who is desperately trying to stir up civil war in Britain.

Nobody with any sense or decency should be there.

No organisations, government departments, or politicians should be there.

Everyone who is, is enabling this monster.

The Democrats need to get a hell of a lot of cameras on the White House and plaster the photos everywhere. It's not just the brazen symbol of a megalomaniac destroying national heritage; it's happening during a government shutdown when ordinary people aren't getting paid. Make every American see it.

Watching the Bibi & Don Show treat this like some grand victory, while people returning to northern Gaza dig the rubble for loved ones' remains, is pretty revolting.

Nadia Sass/Borodi is to married to Oleh Voloshyn, sidekick to Viktor Medvedchuk a close associate of Putin.
Do you believe Farage didn't know who these people were and why they might be interested in him and his party? I don't.

Disseminated the racist lies of an alleged rapist & stayed silent as racists responded by setting fire to buildings full of foreigners.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social Today I can’t decide which story to be more moved by, man buys his disabled Mum a field so she can rescue Donkeys or penniless waitress with a recently bankrupt business finds Β£800,000 down the back of a sofa to buy her boyfriend a house.

Anyone with legitimate 'legitimate concerns' will have never stood outside a migrant hotel shouting, nor been on a Tommy Robinson march, nor put up flags on multiple lamp posts in recent weeks.

Stop blaming migrants and tackle UK’s real problems, 100 charities tell home secretary A letter warns Shabana Mahmood that β€˜targeting refugees will do nothing to tackle’ problems with housing and the NHS

Retrospectively removing indefinite leave to remain would be immoral and economically damaging. It would tear families apart.
Attacking it as β€˜potentially illegal’ is completely beside the point.
Argue with the (awful) idea. Don’t try ’well, actually you can’t do that’.

The New York Times has now published a document which sets out the government’s basis for the proscription. This is the β€œopen” version of the MI5 assessment that has been placed before the courts in litigation challenging the proscription. The judges would also see a β€œclosed” version with material not to be placed in the public domain.

One hopes the β€œclosed” version is a far more impressive document than the one published, which is a flimsy and unconvincing piece of work. The assessment even admitsβ€”twiceβ€”that most of the activity of Palestine Action cannot be called terrorism.

The document overall reads as if it has been compiled backwards, intending to justify a conclusion that needed to be reached. If so, it will not be the first intelligence document to have been created in such a way.

The assessment relies on the group having caused β€œserious” property damage, which is the relevant statutory test. The problem here is that the spraying of paint and graffiti by the group does not meet the threshold of seriousness.

The document also relies on β€œopen source” estimates of the cost of damage which, if one looks at the cited sources, trace back to a claim which the police themselves put to arrested protesters in interview. As such there is a certain circularity: the state is relying on the state claiming the damage is serious.

Has the government overreached in using terrorism law against Palestine Action?

A disclosed MI5 document indicates that the basis for proscription may be weak
