Did another play of Echoes of Time a few days ago, this time with my husband’s coworker. This was probably the most challenging game he’s tried, but he got the hang of it after a couple of rounds - ended up just a couple of points behind my husband. I won again with some good timing.

We don’t have it yet and I’ve heard mixed reviews from folks on whether they think it’s a good addition or not.

As a non-Australian, is it a miniature gun to kill the terrible creatures that call your country home as they try to enter your shoes? 😉

I got Echoes of Time for Valentine’s Day. I don’t know what “type” of game this is - but all your plotting goes out the window when you have to discard X number of cards to play other cards & your opponent can force you to discard more. My AP husband is struggling, but I’m liking it!

TBH we’ve watched videos to prepare for an upcoming new game, and we have suggested some when we’re going to be learning a complicated game, but it’s never been required. 😂

Finished our 2-player Elder Scrolls: BotSE last night. I’m really liking the Light Armor skill line!

I find the High Rock Mages Guild/Psijic Order quest lines entertaining and session 3 engaging. So glad we picked this one up!

(Boy vehicle? WTH autocorrect? Supposed to be small vehicle!)

It was my only one left and I figured I’d just go out in style. Who knew I’d win? I think I hit a couple hazards in a row - so it was a chain reaction. Unexpected! 😆

Or hit an explosive device and blow your boy vehicle over the finish line. 💥

We played it once. Took us a bit but I think we got the hang of it by the end. Some family loved the series so we own the expansion(s).

Mechs is good, and Galaxies. We’ve played Dungeons, but got to the big bad once and lost. Husband isn’t keen on playing anymore - the game is an uphill battle.

Finished up session 2 in Elder Scrolls. We’re now in session 3 in Valenwood & it’s not looking too good. The dice are not coming up in our favor!

Yep, we backed it! Excited to see it!

It’s a great game - we’ve played it most at 2-players but are on our third 4-player campaign. There’s so much variety and, IMO, it really gives a feel of Elder Scrolls. Your character is so customizable!

I’d like it all to fit in the box so I can recycle the boxes. My husband has been known to repackage an entire game so it’s more portable and still keep the boxes.

Theme and colors! I’m not often drawn to 70s color schemes so usually walk by them. BUT I can change my mind - Thunder Road Vendetta is one of my faves!

Felt like for-freaking-ever when we first played Firefly a few years ago. That was 6 hours.

But we’ve done about 12 hours of The Elder Scrolls: Betrayal of the Second Era, with breaks for meals. (Fun but it was a rough go as I’d gotten up about 4:30am and we got home the next morning about 1am)

Oooh, yeah, that could be an issue. We both read them, but I don’t always understand when someone else is reading them aloud - I’m mostly a visual and kinetic learner.

Oh, that sucks! I get it tho - apart from games maybe twice a month with a couple of our kids and once a month with another couple, it’s just us, and my husband is more inclined to pick up a controller than play a board game after work.

Played Flip 7 and Star Wars Love Letters (yeah, I know it’s a longer title…) this evening. Tied for the win with my husband on Love Letters & my husband and BIL tied for the win on Flip 7. 🤔

Great screw your friends game! 😆 We have some friends who don’t like those, so we’ve yet to share this gem with them.

For sci-fi/fantasy lovers, I can recommend Veronica G Henry - I’ve read almost all of her novels & enjoyed them immensely.

I’ve read them all and found them a lot of fun! Even my husband, who usually prefers sci-fi & fantasy, has read and enjoyed them. And the Netflix show was well cast, IMO.

Or my luck…on just this game! 🤣

The White Castle is a favorite of mine - great game. Hitting the cascading turns is so satisfying!

I’ve never played it either - I thought everyone goes to dysentery!

Finished another session 2 of The Elder Scrolls: Betrayal of the Second Era. Turns out light armor and two-handed weapons is a good combo when fighting ethereal quest enemies. Who knew?

I taught 2 of our kids Guillotine not too long ago and another friend new to gaming a couple weeks ago. He LOVED it!

I think no one likes playing Betrayal with me because I win, regardless of what side I’m on. 😂
