The board has approved an interim budget. The county commissioners fully funded the boards appropriation and the resolution allows the board to continue to fund until the legislature’s budget is finalized.

They said all money from this initiative will go to the angel fund helping to provide more meals for students in WCPSS.

Rice says she thinks that the district should market better to get more active participation in the school meal program.She suggests that they should gather more data from families to understand their thoughts & help them recognize that the meal program is about more than just free and reduced lunch
