At one job I spent my notice period with one browser open to the baby panda cam. Very soothing

I just watched a driver in a pickup 🛻 drive down our street and pick up all the space savers. A good use for a truck in the city.

Don't do more than what you're asked. If they need help they should ask you. You'll do it within work hours at a reasonable rate

They already made it clear (so it sounds) that they don't need you, so do the absolute bare minimum. Do nothing, even! What are they going to do? Fire you? (Just don't sabotage them)

I don't know enough about employment lawyers but maybe someone else does. This whole thing feels like you need an employment lawyer.

You do not owe them your all. Do your work tasks during normal hours. If it's not done end of the workday, that's tomorrow's work.

Is that last bit emotional- or fact-based? Mine was emotional and reminding myself that was helpful even if I still treated it as basically fact.

Engaging with local politics is one of the things that has allowed me to maintain a feeling of agency through these wretched times.

For real, just show up. It helps.

This was my favorite slide, maybe because I just had a large rat dart across the sidewalk in front of me and into the side of a parked car.

If only people would only use them for awareness. I briefly lost my hearing in one ear because a car honked at the gridlocked intersection while I was on my bicycle next to them. ☹️
