I have heard several people give their ideas and I'm on board for all of them haha. I JUST WANT AN AMY GAME! But if I had complete control, I'd love a game that highlights all of Amy's qualities. One of my favorite things about her is that she is such a well rounded character. She is loving and compassionate, but she is also fierce and doesn't put up with BS. She loves shopping and baking, but she's also arguably one of the physically strongest characters in the franchise! I love that she is so multifaceted, so I would want to highlight all of these things about her instead of focusing on just one aspect. I'm not entirely sure of what the story would be, but the main themes would be about strengthening bonds, following your heart and doing good for goodness' sake. I could see multiple side quests or subplots where Amy meets people along her journey and she saves them or builds up their confidence or inspires them, and you(Amy) repeatedly run into those minor characters throughout the game and you see how your(Amy's) interactions with them have improved their stories. For gameplay, again to highlight Amy's many facets, I'd want it to be primarily platforming and combat, but with plenty of quests/mini games that feature Amy's other strengths and interests. I'm thinking like FF7 Rebirth, where you have to buy beach clothes to access the beach. I'd love it if you had to shop for different cute outfits for Amy to access different parts of the map and progress the story. Maybe you would have opportunities for a 'pop up food truck' or to 'pitch in at a restaurant' and you cook/bake to earn rings that you then spend on clothes. Also, since Amy is adamant about physical training, I think it'd be interesting if you were required to put x amount of time into either doing battles or 'training at the gym' to level up your combat abilities or increase the amount of damage you inflict on enemies.
Maybe instead of a typical map that shows you where the next objective is, there would be a way to use the tarot cards for that. Even if it's just having the tarot card as the HUD to guide you where you should go next, or instead give you vague hints on what you need to do to continue the story (like the riddle monitors in SA2 whenever you're hunting for emerald shards). Even though I want the focus to be on Amy, she does have strong friendships and deep connections with many of the other Sonic cast, so it'd be cool if for certain quests you got to choose from a select cast of characters to join you as your mission buddy. That would highlight her friendships as well as what a good strategist she can be (Commander Rose, much??) because certain buddies are better equipped for certain missions (but you could still choose whoever you want, it just might result in a lower score). And the more quests and XP you gain with a particular character, the more you maximize your synergy and higher synergy = more perks like better success rate/faster KO/higher inventory of rings/etc. And there could be slight variations in outcomes depending on which character dynamic you focused on for certain quests. I think you could have any number of the Sonic cast to team up with Amy, but for me these characters would be a must: Sonic, Knuckles (I love Amy and Knuckles with that sibling energy), Tails, Shadow, Blaze, Cream, Tangle
And you know it wouldn't be an Evay Idea™ without SONAMY~! I personally never want to diminish Amy's love for Sonic, so I'd love for it to have some romance at least as an option! I'm not talking marriage proposals or anything earth-shattering like that but I mean it would be so cool to give the player choices that could have Amy and Sonic's interactions become more romantic if that's the path you wanted to take. That way if the player does prefer Sonic and Amy simply as best friends, they can do the 'platonic' playthrough and still max out Sonic and Amy's synergy without having to take a romance path. BUT then those of us who DO love that ship get some more lovely sonamy snacks throughout the romantic playthrough! Oh, and the final icing on the cake: Have Amy be voiced by Alison Brie in the game, of course! 😜 Anyway, I could ramble on about my favorite woman FOREVER, but those are the highlights of what I would love to do if I could create a game centered around my beloved Amy Rose! 🥰🥰🥰
