Sorry for the stretch of silence lately. Had some travel, family time, and another surge of work that should take me into the holidays.

But I hit some personal and work goals this week. And am treating myself today with purchasing some more video game art books 😊

all discourse aside, there is one machine with consciousness. it's printers. they are alive and conscious and they hate you and they'd take your arm clean off if you let them. never trust a printer.

It’s been sorta between a spritz and drizzle for the last few hours, which is good enough for me.

This may be an Unpopular Opinion. But I’m an east coaster by birth and don’t care.

Also, I had a teacher I adored in middle school that always celebrated Rainy Fridays, so I carry that with me.

Picked up the BG3 art book, and sweet lord is it gorgeous. I love seeing the progression and iterations, and also just all the brushwork in the concepts.
Truly beautiful inspiration.

I can dodge spoilers for games like no one's business.
And yet GBBO spoilers somehow manage to be unavoidable week after week 😭

It can be so tough! And everyone is doing such cool stuff, and my brain is just doing 👀❤️‍🔥and holding itself back from even creating silly things to share.
And while I do feel more comfy here than I did on other sites, it’s still hard to shake the feeling of Needing to engage/produce.

Ugh so true and real. I know I’m just hardest on myself, and that colors a lot of things. But it’s so helpful to be reminded of these things and that so many of us share these experiences.

Thank you both! It really means a lot.

I think the hardest part for me is not feeling guilty when I don't have the spoons to always be on, replying, sharing.

I’d love to join some friendly and supportive artist discord servers, if anyone has recommendations. I’m a little shy around new folks and can become incredibly busy (and therefore quiet) very quickly.

But yeah. I desperately want more community, but am nervous and fear rejection 😅

I want to get better about being more sociable here and with all you incredible artists in general.

My Neurospicy brain makes it tough sometimes. I’m often a little overwhelmed by trying to make comments, share work (because I haven’t done as much this year), and generally be present.

Got my shots yesterday. And today I am zooooooooonked.

But I did get back to some drawing, and will keep plowing away today as best I’m able.
