Amazing how much gaslighting the Democrats are showing folks who voted for neither candidate. Those folks knew both sides didn't care about the welfare of women and children in Gaza yet both parties shut down voices of dissent. They also know Republicans will be equally shitty to Gaza.

All I can do at this point is follow my therapist's advice about working towards an internal locus of control and continue on with my growth mindset.

I was definitely feeling nervous of this move because it comes near the 1 year mark since my workplace announced its first ever company-wide mass layoffs, and layoff trauma is no joke. I worked hard to build an emergency net for something like this, but there's more uncertainty than I can predict.

It's been truly emotional walking into this unit and seeing it grow empty. I rented it while working a temporary contract and felt unsure about my future in this new career only to later be hired and promoted by the employer. Fortunately I upgraded to a bigger unit next door so I'm still nearby.

After 4 years of living in the Peninsula, I moved out of my very first studio apartment; this was my very first experience truly living out on my own. I shared so many memories here, my bf and I had our very first memories as a couple here, and I was able to fastrack my financial journey here.

This state has hovered around 48-49 in US Education and it's quite reflective of their state legislatures.

Don't underestimate the power of boycotts. Starbucks and McDonalds lost 7-11 billion dollars in the boycotts and missed their Q4 earnings call targets due to them funding Israel. Money talks in this country.

I currently live alone in a new city and haven't really established any friend groups to hang out in person with outside of my partner's Star Trek clubs(which only got me to watch more Star Trek). This is mostly because I moved out during the pandemic when all social interactions were still virtual.

As we see more pro-Trump bias in mainstream media and we see neutral non-profit outlets like NPR get defunded. I've been trying to look for news podcasts that are more neutral-leaning. I understand it's impossible to remove all biases though. Any recommendations?

For context, I brought the question of shareholders proposing companies to scale back on DEI to my workplace C-suite and they said that DEI is actually great for business, since my company's target customer base is of all ages, incomes, and demographs. It's great for talent and product inclusivity.

I take that back, I'll be defaulting to this more frequently as Meta removes fact checking and no longer moderates against mysogyny and transphobia.
