Oh I totally agree. They’re definitely not an easy demographic to market to. But they’re really the only demographic worth marketing to because even though only like 25% of them pay for porn that’s still better odds than the less than 1% of buyers from any other demographic.

They aren’t sex positive. They are getting themselves off positive. Especially now as people are becoming more conservative, sex positivity is at its lowest point. People just want to get off for themselves and don’t care about the people they’re using to get off.

It’s definitely shocking since that’s the last demographic you’d expect to support sex workers especially since they’re the biggest perpetuators of rape culture. But maybe because of the lack of sexual market value for straight men, they end up being the ones most willing to ethically consume porn.

It’s rape culture, plain and simple. People don’t feel like they have to pay for porn the way they pay for other forms of entertainment because they grew up in a society that told them that sex is owed to them.
As far as a demographic who pays for porn, it seems that 90% are straight men.
