One thing I always do is go through the editors and make sure I'm following every editor who has even partial overlap for my interests, because there's no downside to following industry professionals in my genre who like to be helpful, and that's all I get from #RevPit, I've still gotten something.

This contest gave me a little encouragement for my first book (feedback from 10 queries) and led me to my wonderful writing community.

Revpit's BIPOC Editor Mentorship: Mentees will receive an unobstructed view of the selection process for RevPit's Annual Contest, as they will be asked to review submissions and receive query letter training during our popular #10Queries mini-event. They will also edit the first 50 pages of their mentor-editor's selected contest winner and will receive feedback on those edits from their mentor.
