“Tough question. But…I think I’ve left us just a little bit more capable to identify what’s out there,” she says, gesturing at the window and the sky beyond it.

“And in here.” Tapping at her own head. Keeping it somewhat vague, but she did put up some neural network papers on her resume.

“Can do. What kind of systems?” More curiosity than actual concern, really. She’s pretty confident whatever it is, it’s workable.

-if that’s something you ever want to explore.” In that her previous self and her dead partner passed on their knowledge to her, but that’s a bit TMI.

Oh, that’s a tagline alright. “Sounds like good goals to me. So…yeah, like it says in my resume, I’m very used to programming for scientific purposes. A five-tool player, so to speak.” Not tooting her own horn, but it’s what she does.

“I also have a side interest in robotics and neural networks,-

-stints at some of the country’s top tech companies, and most recently a position at a big science company.

“Coffee would be fine, I think. If you’re having some too.”

“Yeah, it does happen sometimes.” She’s been on ground zero of so many, after all.

“Nevertheless, I’ve read over your portfolio. Some pretty interesting stuff. Smart on you to create meds that works with super-metabolism.” But anyways, her resume does look pretty good. Ivy League grad,-

-“Of course, Mr. Praetor.” She nods and offers another smile in return, shaking that hand. “Lots of work being done downstairs, it seems. Remodeling?” Sure, maybe she can look into it a little bit.

Damn, seems like a bus went through here. Accidents happen, she knows, but this might be worth looking into.

Nevertheless, she’s following the guide to the conference room, until she meets Elias himself. He also looked like a bus went through him, though she’s not showing it externally.-

“And you probably just jinxed it.” She chuckles and looks up at the address.

“Alright, let’s wait for her to respond first and then we’ll look for him.” For now, she’s scanning the area for cameras. Traffic cams, ring cams, store security cams, what have you. “What’s this Noel look like again?”

“I mean, it’s right there.” She leads the way through, and they’ll show up at a shopping mall tenant.

“Okay, so does this Noel have an address? We can start there. Photos or any identifiers would help too.”

“It’s a pleasure as well. I’m Seeker.” She shakes the offered hand, smiling behind her half-mask.

“You wanna…use the gate here instead?” She points to one of the gatehouses marked ‘Gotham’. “Probably would save you the flight. “But yeah, I think I’m pretty suited to finding people.”

“Yeah, Thursday morning at 10.30 would be excellent.” Well, that’s an interview secured.

“I’ll be there.”

“That’s me, speaking.” She hadn’t gotten any calls lately, so this could be from the job application. “Yes?”

Oh—of course. I’ll send my CV to the email, but I’ve worked on a couple of high-profile scientific programming projects. Astronomy, population mapping, it’s all there in the resume.

Not applying for intern, but she’s got a pretty good resume if he’s hiring.

She looks up from the tablet she’s holding and passes it to Advantage, before she walks away. “Hey,” she says, nodding at Superboy.

“So, Addy briefed me. It’s more of a search mission, right?”

"I don't know how they work, but good call." The car she crashed into seemed to have baseball equipment inside, so she'll just reach in and...grab the bat, handing it grip-first to Teresa.

"Just in case. If there's one coming our way, get behind me." And so, she'll start the trek to their shelter.

“We’re gonna need all the help we can get, I think.” She indicates the cross Teresa’s clutching. “But it’s just us two right now, then.” Okay, at least this sector seems clear enough with Teresa here.

“I’m all ears. Wouldn’t say no to help, but I don’t want to put people in the firing line either.”

-She indicates the bakery Teresa stepped out from.

And now that ignorance has been confirmed.

“It’s a demon. Like, actual demon. And the whole city’s crawling with them.” She looks past Teresa for a moment. Coast is clear-ish, but chaos is reigning everywhere right now.

“I’m Seeker. I know a safe place. Is there anybody in there with you?”-

-send its body crashing into the street behind them.

“You alright?” She asks, the expression hard to decipher behind the half-mask.

This person, a shortish woman in a white-black-red supersuit, slowly rises from the wreckage as Teresa approaches.

She seems…a bit scuffed, but ultimately uninjured. Her right arm is a laser rifle, and she raises it at Teresa…before it moved just off-center and fires, hitting a flying demon to-

And that’s about when sounds of laser fire ring outside. Then a roar, and a figure flies across Teresa’s field of view, landing rough on a car a fair distance down the street.

Ooops, she’s gotten into Gotham and Metropolis’s emergency text broadcast system.

Sending a message,

“SAFE HAVEN IN THE WAYCASTLE. ENTER THROUGH THE LISTED LOCATIONS.”

The place is very defensible, and the crew’s been hard at work prepping the place to take in people.

A run towards the roof’s edge and she leaps, before boot-jets take her further and away, out of sight.
