A concept sketch of "Sisko's Bajoran Sailer" depicts a small spacecraft with several large, translucent tan sails radiating outward like wings against a black, starry backdrop.
A small, ornate spacecraft with several large, glowing orange solar sails resembling wings glides through the dark expanse of deep space.
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993-1999): Sisko's Solar sailer, art by Jim Martin

just a reminder that you can RSVP for the album listening party today (at 7pm EST/4pm PST) right on the bandcamp page and it'll email you a link, which will be active 30 minutes before the listening party begins. hope to see some of you there!

We cannot and should not let generative AI take away these tiny, insignificant, but probably fun as hell jobs from artists

It makes me really, really angry that governments are doing this stuff!
One of those in the CAQ leadership race (party in power here in Québec) is the Minister for Education, and he said that (paraphrasing) Muslim women who wear hijab "made their choice" to lose work. It's discriminatory!

chronic pain can make each day feel boring in a fascinating new way compared to the last one. longing for what ached yesterday to ache again if it meant relief from the aches i have today.

as my cell phone ages, & can no longer keep up with the ad tech that’s going on online, i find myself spending less time checking websites. i miss it, but the negative reinforcement of my browser crashing several times every time is difficult to escape. gotta retrain around my rss reader.

this place really pisses me off sometimes
having government language police yes but also the pathetic snitches who report social media feeds of local to them purely as harassment
government sanctioned and enabled harassment

CD is 100 dollars or so short of sustainability. Incredibly valuable resource for anyone who cares about games, whether for research or just casual reading. Also like... look lmao, web's as fractured as it's ever been. Having the roundup gather a bunch of cool stuff you'd never see otherwise is good
