Mirror, mirror on the wall, who can flip the creepiest Snow White of all? If you said @tkingfisher.com you win the poisoned apple. HEMLOCK & SILVER is scary and full of shivery surprises. Love the main character so much. 10 of 10 stars, August 19 release. Thanks to @macmillanlib.bsky.social. #ewgc

Costco, which has come out saying it supports DEI, will make no changes to its existing programs, AND pays workers a minimum of $30/hour, is up 15% YTD.

Target, which announced it is ending all DEI programs and has a minimum wage of $15-$24/hour, is down over 4%.

Keep voting with your wallet.

That last part is the most important. These are not proclamations from on high, they are flimsy pieces of paper.

What he's announcing is a concentration camp. A deeply illegal, unconstitutional, anti-human rights atrocity. Anyone who supports this is complicit. Anyone in any federal service, military or otherwise, is morally obligated to refuse to carry out any orders related to this deeply criminal act.

Hello new followers! Real quick note that I may have followed you from a starter pack -- I'm going to block you pretty quick if you post genAI art or writing though, and you're getting unfollowed if you reskeet it. Nothing personal! I just hate it! :)

Some rules for the new world disorder awaiting us:
1. You are not going to engage in political violence. If you do, expect it to accomplish nothing and end with you dead or in jail. Ppl positioned to engage in successful political violence and rare and you are not one of them. Be fucking peaceful.

It is a thing, and as a Loan Department person, it’s typically something we actively try to avoid if we can help it, only done after we’ve tried tons of other options (like asking the appraiser for better comps etc), and I wish bankers would stop phrasing it like we’re doing it for funsies

Incidentally, if people just want permission to spend a month writing the first draft of a book…

*clears throat*

I, Real Published Author With Awards And Shit, hereby give whoever needs it permission to take a month and write like the devil if they want to.

And it can be any month they want.

Pilot Prera fountain pen w/ cartridge converter! Very comfy FP (and my personal favorite), cheap for the quality, small converter for easy ink switching. I’d recommend the ink sample packs from Goulet Pens to have a large quantity of colors that won’t take up too much space (:

Hi. I'm Ann S. Stephens. Born in 1810 in Connecticut, died in 1886. I lived a long happy life, supported my family (and husband) as a writer for 30 years, and oh by the way I INVENTED THE WESTERN. Does anybody namecheck me? Oh, nooo. Well, pay some respect to my name, punks.
