I'm not promoting Acceptess-T any more than I am you.
Goodbye.
I'm really not interested in your feud with Acceptess-T.
What I care about is the stories of the trans people we've lost.
It's not my place to be the arbiter of what constitutes a "valid" case wrt transphobia, but I can act with empathy towards anyone who reports the loss of a friend or loved one.
That's why pages like Lois'are important - they tell a part of the story that the media all too often ignore.
The links on the page are there to give context to the original message, and no more.
They are only included as the original contributor referenced them.
If a family or community member reports the death of a loved one to me, I will trust their word unless there is a good reason not to.
Lois' page is an example of that. I have no reason to distrust the sincerity of the contributor, so the page stands unless that changes.
I think you misunderstand the purpose of the site I run.
It is not solely to expose transphobia through the stories told on its pages, but also to remember the people we've lost - whether to direct violence, suicide or other causes - and regardless of whether they died as a result of transphobia.
There are also several 2025/2026 cases which occurred either in France or in French overseas territories which are currently in draft on the site.

Which specific reports are you complaining about?
FYI: The site has no more affiliation with Acceptress-T than I do with your group.
If you know of specific cases you think should be added to the site, there is nothing to stop you sending a polite message giving details.
Of necessity I have to spend most of my time researching Latin American cases, so have to rely on community contributions for French language cases.

π―οΈ Today, we remember and mourn the ones we have lost.
We will continue to fight for trans rights and equality while doing what we can to protect our community by holding people in power to account.
To all of our siblings who are struggling, we see you, we hear you and you are loved.
So our community is not in a great place right now.
Please look after yourselves - and those around you. None of us is truly alone, even when it really feels like it.
The UK is also of particular concern as the number of suicide cases being reported there is also growing.
While that may partly be due to increased visibility, we know for a fact that the actions of the UK Supreme Court, government and NHS are causing ongoing harm to our UK community.
Reported cases of fatal violence against #trans people in the US are also down - but we think this is due to erasure in reporting rather than a reduction in violence as the environment in the US is becoming more and more hostile for trans people.

This year case research has been made harder by changes made to Facebook search, which prior to this was usually the quickest way to check for cases unreported by the media.
The number of cases in Brazil is also down, apparently reflecting trends in murder statistics in that nation.
Please say their names, read their stories and remember them.
As in previous years the majority are either the result of crimes of violence or suicide.
A special thank you to everyone who has written in to report the death of a friend or loved one, or to give more details they found about a case.
Trans Day of Remembrance is today.
The link below gives details of just some of the #trans, #nonbinary and gender nonconforming people we have lost in the past year.

Anytime.
Honestly, given that I seem to be able to cope with doing this it's the least I can do.
I'm currently waiting on TGEU publishing their official list before adding any missing cases and adding the relevant downloads to the site.
If past years are anything to go by that should happen any day now, but in the meantime provisional info can be downloaded from the "Reports" page.

1. This week, news emerged that former trans athlete, student at Middlebury, and advocate for trans rights, Lia Smith, was found dead.
Her death was ruled a suicide.
But I argue that it's not only a suicide. Every trans suicide is a murder by those in power.
