Jupiter on the 2nd March.
Ive been struggling with poor seeing lately, I think due to heat from my house.
From image scale measurement I now realise my current set-up is oversampling, which is not ideal.
I down-scaled this image before processing. More testing needed on this.

One of the first targets I captured with the Cat91 telescope, decided to revisit it and get some broadband data to mix in with the HOO data I already had from last year.

Buenas condiciones de observación al mejorar el cielo en cuanto a turbulencia. Entre hoy y mañana, será mejor el ‘seeing’ y baja velocidad de la corriente de chorro, pero habrá que esperar a ver qué cantidad de calima nos llega de la pluma que salió este mediodía de África.
Dejo por aquí esta imagen de la Nebulosa de la Gaviota, en paleta HOO, que tenía en el cajón desde mediados de enero. Son unas 3 horas de exposición con el 135mm.
Buenas noches y buena guardia.

First image of Jupiter, with Io and it's shadow, and the GRS, taken with my new Uranus-M mono camera last night.
The plan is to get an IR pass filter which will hopefully help me get sharper mono images to use as a luminance layer combined with colour from my Uranus-C camera.
Good to have a plan 🤞🏻

The Straight Wall. Actually a gentle slope, but the low angled Sun really makes it look dramatic!

One of my favourite areas on the Moon, the northern shore of the Sea of Showers.
Lots of interesting features can be seen here, including the majestic crater Plato and the Alpine Valley, like a chisel cut through the lunar Alps mountain range
A closer view of the Alpine Valley, Vallis Alpes, one of the best examples of a tectonic fault on the Moon. About 100 miles in length and 6 miles wide, a narrow rille runs down the middle, which is very faintly visible in this image if you squint a bit!

La Nebulosa Roseta (NGC 2237), a 5000 años luz de nosotros.
Ha sido mi primer contacto con la extracción y procesado de los canales Ha y OIII con #Siril.
El resultado se asemeja a la celebre paleta Hubble.

Primera luz de mi ZWO ASI 2600MC Pro P25 y mi primera toma de contacto con una cámara astrodedicada de cielo profundo.
Como no podía ser de otra manera en estas fechas, las nebulosas de la Flama y la Cabeza de Caballo, en el Cinturón de Orión.

For this one I used Registax to sharpen the image instead of my usual Astrosurface workflow.
I think it's actually pulled a bit more detail out so I must revisit Registax more often

Been a bit lazy about posting here (and on editing images too tbh), so going to post some of my recent astrophotos that bluesky has missed.
First up, this is a two-panel mosaic of Sh2 119, aka the Clamshell Nebula, captured in HOO with RGB stars with my Cat91 telescope

The rings have opened a little more, to just 1°, and the shadow of the planet on the rings is just starting to show on the left side of the disk
