• 52% said their neurodivergent needs were not understood or met by services
• 92% said specialist help is needed to understand their past
• 83% said adoptees need more help than peers to manage feelings in school
• Many reported a sharp “cliff edge” at age 18, when support commonly

• 33% (one third) said they do not feel confident in their identity or fully understand their own story
• 51% said they had sought mental health support but were unable to find help that worked for them as adoptees
• 62% identified as neurodivergent

82% of adopted young people said society and government do not understand adoption

• 50% of adoptees aged 18–25 said they do not feel part of any community that understands adoption
• 33% (one third) said they do not feel confident in their identity or fully understand their own story

The same happened in England but their enquiry was not in statue. The JCHR review that was done for historical forced adoptions, we are to tricked to fallow does not included adoptees as autonomous rights holders.

At the time it was simply those “looked after” under the TOR, sadly they have never set to expand, even after offical apologies and promises. I wrote to Alex Jay recently asked her to ask police Scotland for dat, told her to be careful they don’t record them as APs

Absolutely in Scotland the government went futher and excluded in statue abuse within adoption placements within our own Scottish Child Abuse Inquary
