[Update] I just got back from the Apple Store. They told me that my hard drive died due to storage problems. Adding insult to injury, they told me that my computer was obsolete so I couldn’t replace it or get it fixed. So I have to replace the computer as a whole.

Yeah Marvelous has been remaking quite a few HM games with the SoS title, and I think part of it is because they can't just port a lot of the games bc of licensing issues w/ Natsume. They're actually remaking a DS HM game too coming out this summer. Can't speak on stardew or RF tho bc I never played

If you want a farming sim recommendation Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town is my personal favorite and a hard recommend, though a lot of HM/SoS games are good (as long as you don't bother with any game w/ HM in the title released after A New Beginning)
