my god shelf (Toni Morrison) allows for all her work to appear on the same shelf and not genre dependant. fits the 10 second rule of access for anything she's written (that I have). everyone else can wait.

An enduring memory of parenting a little one: a library book was gleefully dropped into the mop bucket. It cost a gazillion bucks in fines PLUS the child cried because the book got wet and the library refused to accept a physical replacement. Ugh and ugh forever.
