One of my goals this year is to engage more with art I love. Too often I don't comment because I'm not able to articulate my enthusiasm but, honestly, an inarticulate muppet-flail of a comment is better than nothing!
I know how much a kind word means to me so, I'm gonna try and spread that around. 💜

Winter slowly fading & in many folklores the wolf was animal of this transitionary time between "life & death"
Wolves mate in the deep of winter now the she-wolf is symbolically carrying the young sun into the new year.

Grew up in the same era, and someone said it made my online presence 'aloof' which, feels weird. Not oversharing online is a normal boundary?
I'm also not a fan of the idea that the artist IS their brand. I'm just over here in my sweatpants making lil guys. I don't want my ugly mug to be a brand?

Same. This one particularly did me untold damage.

This movie made me cry multiple goddamned times in the theatre. Brilliantly done, and I love it, but it HURT me.

The marketing at the time was definitely NOT aimed correctly.

"Why are you crying? It's just a kids movie."

The movie:

A fluffy tarantula art doll holds a marker. They've drawn a spider on a scrap of paper (badly) but they look quite pleased about it. They're a combo of walnut browns and light cream colours, with banded legs.

I don't think we've brought tarantulas to a con since... pre-covid, but we've got 2 finished for FE!
