Hey, it's World Book Day so time to mention again that I wrote a Stonewall Honor Book about a young witch going on a road trip to save her mom. It's got trolls, mermaids, ink-based magic and a brave kick-butt trans girl and I bet you (or any young fantasy readers you know) would love it!

Oh, yes! In my current WIP, I wrote a whole chapter featuring a mage character before I decided that I didn't need another character in a novella. Their role could have been served by two other established character, so they got the axe!

I finished Draft 1 of a WIP last week: a fantasy novella where a sorcerer ACCIDENTALLY kidnaps a princess by cursing her to be imprisoned in his tower (he didn't know her identity until it was too late). Now he has to break the curse while adventurers try to rescue her.😆

I prefer writing in order for just getting it out, but I’ve started to embrace writing scenes out of order and inserting them later. Especially when it’s a scene I really want to get to but it would take a long time if I were to write chronologically!
