My German bank offers debit cards only at the moment. That is the one I usually use ... when a card is needed.
But I sometimes do need a CC card to use at electric vehicle charging stations, there debit cards are not accepted.
Then try paying cash when you urgently need to use the restroom at a highway rest stop. 😜
But yes, I mostly pay cash, which is here in Germany not unusual.
Monday, awakened with a calf cramp, suddenly snow outside, no newspaper in the mailbox at the garden gate, no email... fortunately, there is coffee.

Yes, I've done it that way.
Once I was at a camp for 5 days. The first day a huge kettle with chili con carne was cooked. Enough for all days. The 3rd day I went out and got a pizza, the 4rth day a döner, the last day a baguette with chicken curry salad.
So, a chili week was not an option. 😜
Von den Büchern die ich gelesen habe, wären das vermutlich die Dresden Files. Aber die habe ich ja durch, ich würde viel lieber wählen können aus den Büchern die ich noch nicht gelesen habe, ja sogar welche, die noch nicht geschrieben sind. Leider bin ich in diesen Sachen nicht hellsichtig. 😉

Would make chili con carne for the visit this weekend. Yet, they've fallen ill and had to cancel. Got already purchased all for it... kidney beans, corn, red and yellow bell peppers, chilies, ground meat, onions, tomatoes. Should I still make it? Mmm, but it's so much... pfff...

Dutch Military analysts are sounding the alarm as large areas of the Netherlands are covered by a significant layer of snow.
