I just had an interview where the hiring manager mentioned that he's gotten applications from people that were clearly filled out with gen AI. Clearly he was disappointed but I was even more appalled! The example he used was for a question that, without a doubt, required a very human answer. So wack

Now I just have to look for a note taking replacement. I have Goodnotes on ipad but I really want something similar to Notion (cross platform accessibility) but without the gen AI and for free. Milanote is great but not exactly what I'm looking for in terms of my own personal projects and work.

I tried Obsidian, can't afford another subscription to manage just for cross platform syncing. Not a fan of doc apps. Tried Zettlr and wasn't really my style (still a great tool though) and a few others but they just weren't the vibe I was looking for.

I've been testing out writing tools to find something to replace Notion (hate the gen AI stuff) and really like Ellipsus so far. Staff is progressive, against AI, and it's free to use (web app so able to use on diff devices including mobile) The cherry on top? It's built for collaborative writing!

All it took was reading some poly demon smut to get me out my funk I'm eternally grateful
