They do this either because
1. They specifically want to make it look like the environment is not a political issue.
2. They're babies who don't understand politics.

Nobody, absolutely nobody, goes "Labour should only talk about worker's rights (lol)", or "why sre Sinn Fèin talking about finance and not a united Ireland" or "you say you're the SNP so why are you talking about taxes and not independence".

The way that a lot of other parties and parts of the media talk about the Greens - like they're tiny babies who only talk about trees who we can safely ignore but HOW DARE THEY not talk only about trees - makes them look silly. You look and sound like silly people who don't know what politics is.

I'd try the same thing for "that's sectarianism baby" but quite honestly I feel like the British media's heads would collectively explode if they had to deal with what we mean by sectarianism.
