Still having a very hard time understanding how cameras are going to be the thing that stops what we all saw happen on camera from multiple angles

Nominal reforms will achieve nothing when DHS has shown an overt and gleeful willingness to ignore the law while brutalizing our neighbors.

Majority of the country now wants to abolish and/or dismantle ICE and yet Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. told the caucus the message had to be to βrestrain, reform and restrict ICE.β
Once again it looks like Schumer is about to choke after getting a massive opportunity.
So pathetic and weak.
I feel like these days it's within our power to stipulate congress keep a big public spreadsheet where every time they vote each member also has to write at least 50 words explaining what they think is gonna happen as a result of their vote and be judged accordingly

A healthy society would and should make it painless to be good and to speak truth and to help others and live in peace.
25.01.2026 01:44 β π 44 π 7 π¬ 0 π 0Just found out my wife might be losing her job, so I'm desperately searching for work. Contract, full-time, freelance, whatever. Press, PR, consulting, anything. I have 16 years of editorial experience and have been writing about games for 13. Reviews, news, previews, guides, etc. RTs appreciated.

You shake yourself awake in the cold North Atlantic water. You are not online. It is July of 1858. You are a baleen whale, and you have changed your mind. The future most not come to pass. The telegraph cable must break.
The best kind of tree topper. Happy Holidays.

23.12.2025 14:41 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This is the exact same journey for photography. Feeding a bad photo into AI to clean it up doesn't make you better even if the photo is.
16.12.2025 17:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0screenshot of a post on facebook from Alex Lamoreaux, depicting two versions of the "same" photograph of a bobcat in front of a pine plantation, one labeled original game cam photo, one labeling AI processed the markings have been altered on the AI photo, and the head changed and resized text says: Oh! A neat goose hybrid posted to βWhatβs this Bird?β but when you zoom in on the photos the bill details have been too manipulated by AI photo editing to be accurately assessed for which species may be involved. Scroll onβ¦ A cool-looking Red-tailed Hawk that someone is wondering which subspecies it might be - right up my alley! But when you zoom in on the photos literally every feather group has been so heavily manipulated and altered by AI editing that itβs impossible to determine subspecies because the photo is essentially fake now; just a mashup of whatever AI thinks parts of a Red-tail should look like. Scroll onβ¦ WOW! Thatβs a remarkable trail cam photo of a Bobcat! It almost looks like a painting!β¦ but the head looks oddly smallβ¦. hmmmm. After some prodding the original photo is produced and sure enough it had been so heavily altered by AI βpost processingβ that the photo posted was essentially a digital mock-up with totally different proportions and fur markings. No longer the photo off the trail cam; it may as well have just been βcreatedβ by AI from scratch. This stuff is killing me. My days on social media are becoming very limited. We canβt even trust simple, everyday photos of animals to be real. The wildlife community needs to quit editing with AI, and we need to start calling out photographers that are using it. Our reality is being destroyed all around us.
this field biologist does a great job highlighting the insidiousness of AI editing
these one-click AI edit buttons are incredibly appealing to many photographers, amateurs and professionals alike, and are framed as innocuous
this is worth sharing and educating people about
one of the coolest things about ChatGPT is how you can actually just never use it. you can fill your whole entire life with simply not once using it. it's incredible.

A reminder that the crises routinely treated as separateβhousing, food, climate, healthcare, electricityβare anything but.
This moment in America makes it glaringly clear: each feeds the other, driven by the same rapacious, profit-maximizing forces.
My understanding is that Chuck Schumer and leadership arenβt caving but these senators are: call them!
