I usually don't pay too much attention to writing day word counts, but I got 2,400 in today on a new project that may or may not see a conclusion, I'm still feeling it out, but I knew I needed to give it a go and see what it turned into.

If you're a new indie author getting started, I have two things to tell you.

1. You will likely sell more ebooks than print. My werewolf ebooks have massively outsold print.

2. Print books are still worth setting up for your readers who will want them. Invest that time if you can.

So, listen, call Schumer’s office no matter where you live, no matter if you’re registered to vote. Leave a voicemail that says if Senate Dems cave without an ACA premiums fix, you will never vote for or donate to another Senate Democrat as long as he is Leader

The biggest tell that someone is a dullard is having no favorite bands or movies or some form of entertainment. It's how you know those "grindset" types are the dumbest fucks on the planet. They have no interests. They are literally the NPCs they bitch about. You're a cog in the shit machine

I honestly like Funko Pops, but they glutted their own market -- any given con has dozens of vendors with walls of the things -- and had some real head-scratcher properties. Was there really that much of a demand for Duck Dynasty figures? Cocaine Bear? Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets?

Barring speculators from snatching up relatively affordable properties so they can flip them quick-and-dirty for an artificially exaggerated profit would help too.

This. It's so damned tedious when writers act like writing is a torturous burden that they have to power through and it just makes them miserable. It's like listening to married men who insist they love their partner but constantly "joke" about how awful marriage is.

Gen Xer here, and my entire knowledge of grunge music was provided to me by corporate rock radio. If a particular song never got regular airplay, I'd be guessing which band performed it based solely on the vocals -- and even then, if it's not Vedder, Cornell, or Weiland, I'd be shooting in the dark.

I’m not proud of not having used ChatGPT or whatever bc it’s … easy not to use it. Choosing not to use it has no impact on my day. Bc it’s not even good at the thing it’s supposed to be doing. It’d be like being proud of myself for not using a broken calculator to do math.
