like if they have him just try to replicate what Allen did, they will never sound as good again lol. Just facts, Allen is a machine who rarely misses a beat. They're going to have to adapt, maybe bring back some of the gritty early 2000s sound. Can't just try to be Allen 2.0 and expect it to work.

I'm at a crossroads with this bc I actually want a different drummer to sound different, but I love Allen's untz so much that it's tough to imagine the Biscuits any other way. I actually think my biggest gripe so far is when Marlon tries to play TOO MUCH like Allen, because that's just not possible.

I thought it was better than expected for a 2nd show, tbh. Jarring hearing any deviation from perfection though lol Allen was a human drum machine back there. But I enjoy Marlon's use of fills and he does bring a little more creativity to the kit. Composed sections should improve over time.

How the new songs hit live? Saw some review of the new album that claimed it didn't make them excited to see anything on it in concert...and I felt the exact opposite?

definitely was thinking 2018 or 2019 when I saw that 37 minute 7-11, which I assume has a long TBeam jam in it.

Bucs belong in the Super Bowl aspirations tier next to the Seahawks (beat them) and could probably replace either Washington or the Chargers. Especially considering the injuries the Bucs are currently dealing with, the team is only going to get better down the stretch as they get healthier.

whatever song they're playing around the 30 min mark definitely sold me. Good stuff. Fun to see pieces of different bands joining together to make something completely different.

Space Bacon is doing some very fun things. Been finding myself putting them on more and more lately.

Last time I went camping there was a Great Horned Owl in one of the trees right near my tent hooing all night. Like it was close enough that I got out and tried looking up to spot it. Couldn't find exactly where it was but it was still very cool.

And after those 4 years, who knows how broken democracy will be. I assume broken beyond repair.

At Borderlands and Mt Joy had a full 15+ minute Biscuits jam playing as their house music.

legit think I remember someone telling us about this. But our crew were ILCC vets so we were like "yeah that's not a thing" lol

More festival flex than concert but had a beer with Tommy Hamilton on the porch of our cabin at Catskill Chill one year. Also both him and Magner held my dog when he was a puppy before a Syracuse Election show.

Yeah I always go back to the fact this is the same band that wrote Hot Air Balloon and also "girl I like your style now so let's go kick it downtown" like they're all over the place and it's part of the reason I love them.

Yeah it's more of a poppy sing-along than a classic Biscuits banger. But idk, it could be significantly worse lol it's catchy and fun at least. Imo different doesn't automatically mean bad, I've grown to enjoy the newer tunes for what they are (and the jams always deliver).
