By changing our diets now, we can avoid the food chaos that climate change is bringing By choosing to transform how we grow food and what we eat – rather than letting climate change dictate the pace of change – we have so much to gain.

I wrote a piece for @theconversation.com on climate change, diets, and resilience. In high income nations we can go plant-rich now and harness the benefits or wait and likely climate change will force us our hand.

COVID is airborne and still with us, evidenced by hospitalisations and deaths data. Many feel in a better place than at the height of the pandemic, but protections still matter, such as ventilation, booster vaccines, and testing. Long COVID, maligned by some, continues to affect millions of lives.

This is a problem in lots of different areas of the NHS. Midwifery units are massively understaffed β€” some are having to limit services because they are dangerously low on staff β€” but midwifery graduates can’t find jobs.

NYT: a "white people from Trump country" story, but this time with scientists! The NYT outdoing itself with bizarre framing of stories on Trump's damaging destruction of science (yes, for everyone!). Strange how they're only just realizing that DEI initiatives supported many white women in science.

I’d love your help to find examples!

There is a huge amount of ambient and waste heat available.

Using it with heat pumps in buildings and industry is multiple times more efficient than burning fossil fuels.

It makes the problem we try to solve significantly smaller and allows us to use free pre-existing heat.
