@housedemocrats.bsky.social thank you for your unwavering support. Keep on the pressure.
Also, a reminder for all, so the chaos doesnβt bury the message: Release the Epstein Files.
Thank God!
Some great news!

Trump is still using hunger as a political weapon while also refusing to address skyrocketing health care costs β and seems to be enjoying it. Itβs the definition of sadism. A truly twisted man.
09.11.2025 20:58 β π 454 π 138 π¬ 109 π 12Iβm no great fan of the ACA.
I believe we should guarantee health care as a human right through a single-payer Medicare for All system.
But β at minimum β we cannot allow Republicans to destroy our already-broken system by doubling insurance premiums for 20 million Americans.
Millions of farmers, small business owners, and families are seeing their health insurance premiums skyrocket because Trump and Congressional Republicans refuse to come to the table and negotiate with Democrats.
Americans deserve better.

Noooo
Wrong choice. Caving now β theyβll starve due to medical debt or die from loss of medical coverage.
Vote no.
Listen to the people of Pennsylvania. Hold the line.
Signed, a Pennsylvania healthcare worker.
Keep tagging them and commenting on their posts, it is having an impact!!!!
And thank @slotkin.senate.gov !!!! remember honey catches more flies than vinegar
Hunger is not a political weapon, and I will continue pushing to ensure Trump fully funds SNAP and put an end to this cruelty.

Iβve voted 7 times to reopen the government in a way that holds Trump accountable for his lawlessness and prevents a health care crisis.
Iβm prepared to work toward a compromise, but this βdealβ before us does not come close to meeting those terms. Voting NO.
Full statement:
My red line has always been lowering health costs for Americans. Donald Trump and Republicans donβt want an agreement that meets that bar. Iβm a no.
10.11.2025 00:54 β π 4486 π 679 π¬ 510 π 67I will not support a deal that does nothing to make health care more affordable.
We are in a health care emergency. A simple one-year extension of these tax credits would cost less than Donald Trumpβs $40 billion bailout for Argentina.
A vote for this bill is a mistake.
I canβt support this bill. It doesnβt meet the urgency of the moment and deliver actual relief that can pass both chambers of Congress.
Iβve been clear that we need real action to stop the devastating health care cost increases that are hurting millions of families. 1/2

Vote NO
Hold the line.
Tonight, I am voting no on a procedural vote on an appropriations deal that would re-open the government. Since July, I have been clear: to earn my vote, Republicans would have to do something to bring down the cost of health care for working and middle-class Michiganders. (1/4)
10.11.2025 01:22 β π 1102 π 200 π¬ 207 π 38I am a no on the CR agreement. I respect my colleagues on both sides, but the American people donβt deserve a preventable increase in health care costs.
10.11.2025 01:26 β π 246 π 38 π¬ 53 π 8But I cannot support a deal that still leaves millions of Americans wondering how they are going to pay for their health care or whether they will be able to afford to get sick.
10.11.2025 01:28 β π 1105 π 128 π¬ 201 π 46The government has been shut down for 40 daysβthe longest in history. All Democrats have fought hard for extending the Affordable Care Act tax credits that make health care affordable for millions. Iβm voting against the bill given it doesnβt extend these valuable tax credits.

Trump and Republicans refuse to fight for American families, but I refuse to give up on them.
I simply cannot vote to do nothing to help protect them from Trumpβs vindictive efforts in exchange for a vague promise from the least trustworthy Republican party in our nationβs history.
Iβm voting no on the continuing resolution that would double healthcare premiums for 20 million Americans, kick 15 million people off Medicaid & allow 50,000 Americans to die unnecessarily every year.
All to give $1 trillion in tax breaks for billionaires.
As I've always said,Β I will not support a government funding bill that continues to raise our costs, jeopardizes our health care, and hurts the people of myΒ state.
10.11.2025 01:41 β π 5933 π 1128 π¬ 768 π 105I refuse to support a funding bill that fails to address the Republican health care crisis.
And make health insurance affordable.
The American people clearly understand the stakes and the urgency. We must too.
I'm voting no.
I will not support this bill that completely fails to help Americans afford their health care.
Trump and Rβs have more than doubled Americansβ health care premiums, and for 40 days they have refused to lift a finger to do a thing about it. In fact, theyβve made it worse by taking food from kids.
This bill doesnβt address the core issue that millions of Americans will no longer be able to afford ACA insurance coverage next year. Iβm willing to work with anyone to create a path forward but this isnβt it.
10.11.2025 01:56 β π 631 π 132 π¬ 201 π 14As I've always said,Β I will not support a government funding bill that continues to raise our costs, jeopardizes our health care, and hurts the people of myΒ state.
Iβm urging my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to stand up for Americans who are counting on us to lower their costs, and addressβ¦
I voted no tonight.
But the next phase of Democratsβ health care affordability fight is starting.
While I personally donβt believe Republicans will keep their promise to work with us on lowering health care costs, I would be thrilled to be wrong.
Bullies gain power when their misconduct succeeds in causing righteous people to yield in the face of wrongdoing. Thatβs why voting for Trump's continuing resolution - without any protection against his health care cuts or his growing illegality - is a mistake.
I voted NO.
I cannot support this deal, which fails to address the needs of 20 million Americans facing skyrocketing health care costs.
