Good morning! Iโ€™m about to get on the fishermanโ€™s boat to survey fish in Lake Kasumigaura. Itโ€™s chilly but very calm.

Graphical abstract: We present the Global Fish Invasions Database (GFID), the first standardized, comprehensive global dataset of 1536 established non-native fish species across 193 countries. GFID includes detailed metadata on introduction pathways, habitat types, native biogeographic realms, and documented ecological, economic, and social impacts. This open-access resource provides a critical foundation for advancing invasion science, informing conservation strategies, and guiding evidence-based biosecurity policy worldwide.

๐ŸŽถItโ€™s beginning to look a lot like #Fishmas๐ŸŽถ

Thereโ€™s no better fish to kick off this yearโ€™s #25DaysofFishmas than the aptly-named Christmas darter (Etheostoma hopkinsi)! We get our road trip started down in the southeastern US with this small species of fish who has big holiday spirit all year long

Iโ€™m using right away the coffee mag that I bought at Trident Cafe in Boulder, CO. www.tridentcafe.com

This is so cool to me because the top of โ€œtridentโ€ like a fork is very similar to a Japanese Kanji, ๅฑฑ, which means a mountain. I appreciate this realization.

Trident cafe is must-visit cafe!

Just touched down at Tokyo Airport. At the Denver airport, 2hrs after boarding on time, all passengers had to get off the plane due to mechanical issues. It was my first time getting a meal voucher. After grabbing a coffee for 1h, I boarded again. Iโ€™m happy I made it back safely.
